Call for SDG Artists:
We work, labor, and toil with cloth, and we succeed in creating exciting and novel artwork. It finds an appreciative audience because people enjoy our handiwork and designs. Work equals success! Cloth, along with pottery making, weaving, and dyeing, are among man's earliest efforts to create practical goods. That history spans millennia, and yet we still come up with new and intriguing ways to make cloth work for the 21st century.
Create 2-D and 3-D artwork inspired by the long tradition of creating decorative textiles. We will also be displaying our 2017 Member Show Challenge pieces; Surface Design in Many Mediums.  The Guild encourages member’s best work that is originally conceived and created by a Surface Design Guild member within the last two years and has not been shown in a Guild sponsored show.
