Seven cabins are available with eight beds per cabin in four bedrooms, double occupancy. Each bedroom has one bathroom per two beds. Eight rooms (two cabins) will initially be set aside for private rooms, and if more private rooms are required, a waiting list will be compiled for available rooms to be assigned at the end of the sign-up period. Private rooms will incur the additional expense of the second bed. Common areas include a living room, dining area with a large table, kitchen with counter space, refrigerator, microwave, sink, and coffee maker, and porches front and back.
All meals are included in the price of the retreat and will be served in the dining hall by the staff of Chinesgut Hill. Dinner will be served on Friday through Sunday, breakfast will be served on Saturday through Monday, and lunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday. Attendees can bring their own snacks and drinks.
All instructors will come from our own guild so that we can continue the tradition of helping each other learn within the guild. A morning and afternoon workshop will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the daily workshop, an evening mini-workshop or presentation will be available for the entire group to enjoy together.
A separate large building is available for classroom instruction and workspace area. All workshops will be held in the classroom and space will be set aside for small group or personal work. This building will also be open in the evening to accommodate those who want to continue working on their art and for our night owls.
- Gardens and trails for outdoor exploration.
- Historic Manor House and tour for our history buffs.
- Fire pit for group events.
Games and other activities will be available for our attendees.
Costs for all four days/three nights includes everything listed above. Attendees will be required to supply their own workshop materials and any required kit fees will be paid directly to the instructors. The cost for the retreat is based on actual fees, and no markup has been applied. Payment will be made online in two installments or one full payment. If a private room is requested, the additional bed fee will be added to the first installment. The second installment will be due by September 15, 2018.Additional Information:
