Time needed: A three-day workshop starting Saturday November 15th through Monday
November 17th. The last time we started early and ended late, so don’t bring
your watch just a fun attitude!
This workshop requires:
A good working knowledge of your sewing machine or serger.
Your clothing that will be recycled into a new garment- like silk or cotton blouses, tshirts,
chiffon or silk scarves. Also household goods like linen dishtowels, embroidered
linens, crocheted doilies or dresser scarves or vintage sheets.
This session I am going to offer several different types of garments-tops, skirt with pockets,
vest, and a different dress.
I will have examples at the October and November meetings and a detailed material
list and explanation of the process so that everyone knows what to have for the class.
I want it to be different than last time- so it will be how to work with knits and embellish,
discharge, distress and accessorize with that material.Cutting Up Your Closet with Kim Sherrod
