Seductive Surfaces for Painting and Collage with Kevin Tobin

    This a follow up workshop to July's demo when Kevin demonstrated the many possibilities of Golden products. He will cover a wide variety of surface treatments including the making of an eEncaustic Like Surface Material, Molding Paste, Light Molding Paste, Coarse Molding Paste, Micaceous Iron Oxide, Soft Gel Gloss, Heavy Gel Matte, Fluid Acrylic Paints, Iridescent Colors, including a Gold Leaf Like Process, Crackle Paste, Absorbent Ground, etc.

    The workshop is approximately 4 to 5 hours in duration (depending on the relevant skill level in the room) includes all gels, paints, mediums, substrates, wet and dry samples along with free product give-aways and door prizes throughout the day. ZERO drawing skill is required as we will only be making rudimentary marks as to how they impact a surface.


    What to Bring:

    small palette knife and small brush

    paper towels

    small container for water

    artist’s preferred drawing medium: crayons, watercolor pencils, colored pencils, etc.
