Discover, enjoy and create fine radiant art on silk. No experience necessary. Everyone is successful! This is an incredible art form where no mistakes can be made. A myriad of design ideas, reference books and a handout packet are provided.
You will first get to experiment with the techniques of painting, color blending, water dispersion, alcohol mix, salts, etc. on a 14" sampler piece of silk. You will keep the sampler technique piece for your ready reference. Next you will create either a silk scarf or a 16x20" piece of silk for framing, collage, pillow top, etc. If you have time, you are welcome to create a 2nd scarf or 16x20" piece. (**I bring lots of drawn designs for you and design reference books too.)
Cost: $75 (includes Beach Art Center)
Maximum attendees: 12
Bring: Your lunch and a beverage.
I will provide everything that you need including aprons, paper towels, silk, frames, pins, bamboo brushes, foam brushes, more silk, etc.
