Travel Trio
Size/Dimensions: 5” High x 3” Width x 10” Length
In this class, the participants will be making the large size Travel Trio bag.
General sewing experience is highly suggested and each participant must know how to use their sewing machine. Have fun choosing fabrics that you’ve created or detailed by using it on this travel or cosmetic bag.
**Included in the sewing class: Sewing pattern with instructions for all 3 size bags.
Materials List:
Two pieces of 8” x 15” Sew in or one-sided fusible fleece (Pellon Fleece- Softer sided pouch) or sew in foam (Pellon Foam-More rigid and more padding). **If using thicker material like denim, canvas, vinyl or thin leather, fleece or foam may not be needed. Be sure these materials are thin enough to be sewn on your sewing machine.
Two pieces- 7 1⁄4” x 14” of One sided fusible light or mid-weight interfacing (Pellon Shape Flex)
Two pieces - 3 1⁄2” x 11” of Fabric 1: Top exterior
Two pieces - 3 1⁄2” x 11” of Fabric 2: Top exterior
Two pieces - 4 1⁄4” x 14 1⁄2” of Fabric 3: Bottom exterior
Two pieces - 7 1⁄4” x 14” of Fabric 4: Interior
Two pieces – 1 1⁄4” x 2” of Fabric for the zipper tabs
10” or longer nylon zipper (Can be cut to suit the bag size. It must be nylon, not metal.)
90/16 needle
Coordinating thread
Marking pen or chalk
Supplies:
Sewing machine -Participants must know how to work their sewing machine
Zipper foot and standard foot for your sewing machine
Cutting mat
Rotary cutter
Ruler
Pins or clips
Fabric scissors and paper scissors
Be sure to bring an extension cord to plug in your sewing machine
