Creative Basket Making
You will construct a Traditional Early American (actually early European) ribbed basket, that we commonly associate with Appalachian basket makers. But we will take a few liberties with tradition as you will have access to Bonnie’s studio full of dyed reed, colorful yarns and fabrics, as well as all kinds of beads and buttons and other materials to choose from to so you can be as creative as you like as you personalize your basket.
You will also be provided information on how to dye and prepare reed and other found natural materials for basket making.
