Show Runs: May 18 – August 4, 2024

This show will be partly Marlene’s work and partly Guild members work. This exhibition is a celebration and nod to Marlene's artwork. It is also a launching point to celebrate the role of the Surface Design Guild in our lives as artists. We are in a unique position to showcase the influence the guild has had in encouraging our individual artistic expression.

Tribute Show: Leepa-Rattner would like to show some collections of Marlene’s work. If you have scarves, valentines, cards or pin weavings made by Marlene, please email Susan Lumsden at susanlumsden@gmail.com by March 1 with a photo of what you have. Include in the subject line of your email, "Inspired by Marlene." This work will need to have a label with your name (TBSDG will provide with your name on it.)

Juried Show - Leepa Rattner will:

- Hang show – all work will be hung at their discretion.

- Accept 2-D and 3-D work and clothing. (Leepa-Rattner has 15 pedestals, you will provide mannequins.)

- Insure the show.

- Our work cannot be sold by Leepa-Rattner, but has to be sold by the artist. Put your email address on the label info for customers to contact you directly.

Work can’t be taken down until show closes. 


Juried Show - TBSDG members will:

- Each member can enter up to 3 pieces in the show. No size or date created limitation. This is your opportunity to show your best work.

- Email a photo of your work by March 1 (doesn’t have to be perfect - a phone photo is okay), to felice.sara@spcollege.edu and cc susanlumsden@gmail.com.

- Email your entry with jpgs as per the Submission Guidelines located in the Members Only area of the website, under Exhibit Submissions, by March 1. Note that the Submission Guidelines require a brief artist statement or biography.

- You will be notified by March 15 if you have been juried into the show.

- Turn in all work at the April 8th TBSDG member meeting, appropriately wrapped with packing list from the TBSDG website. Packing List printout is located in the Members Only area of the website, under Exhibit Submissions.

- Show Committee will take all work to Leepa-Rattner by May 3rd.

- Provide ready-to-hang work. Work will be hung on nails.

Send out evites & invitations to your mailing lists.

- Come and enjoy the opening.

- The show committee will pick up work at the Leepa-Rattner on August 9th. Your work will be ready for pick up by you at the TBSDG August 12 member meeting. If you can’t pick your work up please arrange for someone else to do this for you.

The Leepa-Rattner will also have a Fashion Show in July of our member's hand-made clothing. More information to come soon about this wonderful opportunity.
