    In this workshop we are going to be looking at four different techniques that can be used to construct fabric books. Fabric books can be used to create a combination of a stitch, textile or cloth book, or journals. Learn about multiple methods of creating and binding books. At the end of the day, each student will have created four different books with the addition of illustrations or stitches.

    Materials needed for workshop:
    Fabrics - Muslin, any commercial fabric or your own dyed fabrics
    Book 1 - 6 1/2 by 12 inches - 8 pieces
    Book 2 - 5 inches by 10 inches 8 pieces
    Book 3 - 6 inches by 12 inches 8 pieces
    Book 4 - 1 fat quarter (18 by 22 inches)
    Sewing needles and thread
    Tapestry or chenille needle
    Perlé Cotton size 8, or 6 strand floss; colors can be matching or contrasting
    Scissors
    Iron and Iron mat
    Starch, sizing or Best Press type of spray
    Optional rotary mat and rotary cutter.
