Step into the enchanting world of felt-making—a tactile, transformative art form where wool becomes your canvas and your hands become the brush. In this hands-on class, you will discover the magic that occurs as you turn wool and silk fiber into richly textured fabric. You will blend color and form in ways that evoke painting, sculpture, and collage all at once.
What You Will Experience:
· Learn Leeann’s customized wet felting technique to create your own felted piece of wall art —whether realistic, abstract, whimsical, or geometric
· Explore painterly color blending and dimensional surface design
· Incorporate mixed media elements such as: yarn, embroidery, fabric scraps, polymer clay, and found objects
· Develop sculptural interpretations using resists for 3D effects
All Skill Levels Welcome
· New to felting? You will be guided through the fundamentals of wet felting and sculptural design
· Returning students? Build on your previous wall piece work and take your skills to the next level with advanced techniques
